Free kits (if you qualify)Some residents qualify for a free kit · otherwise sold at hardware stores
Delaware splits the difference. The state public health division says some residents qualify for a free radon test kit, and everyone else can buy one at a hardware store. What the page does not spell out is the qualifying rule, so the only way to find out where you land is to check. That is worth a few minutes before you spend money on a kit you might have gotten free. If you do not qualify, a short term kit from a hardware store does the same job. The state radon page is the place to start either way.
