Privacy
YouAlreadyPaid is a directory of public programs. You can read all of it without giving us anything. There is no account to make, no newsletter, and nothing to fill in.
We measure how many people visit and which pages they read, using Google Analytics. That is the only thing we collect. We do not sell it, and we do not know who you are.

Website analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a service from Google LLC, to understand which pages get read and how people find them. It is how we decide which state to work on next.
Google Analytics collects things like:
- the pages you open on this site, and how long you stay
- the site or search that sent you here
- your rough location, usually the country, state or city
- your device type, browser, operating system and screen size
Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. Your IP address is used to work out that rough location and is then discarded. We never see it, and we cannot use any of this to work out your name, your address or who you are.
Google processes this data on our behalf and is bound by its own terms. You can read how Google uses data when you use its partners' sitesand Google's privacy policy.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets two cookies in your browser, named _ga and_ga_ followed by a string of characters. They hold a random number so that a repeat visit is not counted as a new person. They expire after two years. They are the only cookies this site sets.
We do not show a cookie consent banner. This site is written for people in the United States, analytics is the only thing that sets a cookie here, and none of it identifies you. If you would rather not be counted, any of these work:
- install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on
- turn on "Do Not Track" or block analytics in your browser settings
- use a content blocker, or a browser that blocks trackers by default
Links to other sites
Nearly every page here links out to a state agency or a federal agency. Those sites are not ours and this policy does not cover them. Once you follow a link you are on their site, under their rules.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no archive of old versions, so the date is how you tell.
