No free programNo state free kit · sold through the American Lung Association and retailers
Rhode Island does not run a state giveaway. The health department points residents to the American Lung Association, building supply and retail stores, and analytical laboratories. The Lung Association route is the one worth knowing about, because it runs kit programs in several states and the price usually covers the lab work as well as the device. Rhode Island is small enough that a hardware store is rarely far away, so buying is not much of an obstacle. Whichever route you take, check that the price includes the analysis, because a kit with no result attached is not much use.
