Free radon test kits in Connecticut

OpenDistributed through local health departments

Connecticut does give away free short term kits, but not from a state office. The state buys them and passes them to local health departments, and those departments hand them out to people in their own towns. So the question is not whether Connecticut has free kits. It is whether your local health department still has any. Stock varies from one town to the next and runs down over the winter. Call yours before you make a trip. If they are out, ask when they expect more, because departments usually restock rather than stop for the year.
