Cap reachedOut of free kits · sold at hardware and big box stores
North Dakota had free kits and has run out. The state environmental quality department says so directly and points people to hardware stores, big box stores and online sellers instead. That is honest, and it saves you filling in a form for something that is not there. If free kits matter to you, it is worth checking back before winter, since these programs are usually funded year by year. If you are buying instead, look for a short term kit that includes the lab fee, because some of the cheaper ones charge separately for the result.
