Free radon test kits in Iowa

Iowa does not mail free kits, but the state radon hotline takes orders for low cost ones directly on 1-800-383-5992. That is more useful than it sounds, because it saves you working out which retail kit is worth buying. Check that the price covers the lab analysis, since that is the part people miss when they pick a kit off a shelf and then find the result costs extra. Kits are also sold in most hardware and home improvement stores if you would rather pick one up today. Test in the lowest room you actually spend time in.
